This week Jonathan and I will be interviewing William “BJ” Lawson, who is running in North Carolina’s 4th district.  He has been described as a “Ron Paul Republican”,  and has himself said he has  small “l” libertarian tendencies.  Jonathan and I intend to explore these descriptions and ask some questions I’m sure the regular media won’t.  Should be a fun interview!

This week Jonathan and I interviewed Dr. Joe Buchman of Utah’s 1st district where he is running for Congress.  He was kind enough to come on and talk about libertarianism and his campaign.   The conversation took a unexpected turn when Joe brought up extraterrestrials.  What Joe Buchman has done with libertarianism and the view of the cosmos is perhaps the best example of a consisent outlook on life and his poltical beliefs.  Far from being a “kook”, like many in the press might be wont to present him as, Joe is in fact a true and honorable believer in the concept of non-aggression.

We can’t wait to have Joe on again (and he will be after his trip to Mongolia and China).

Also, new this week, the site has a new look.  My wife Kelly was kind enough to put together a logo and color scheme that I think for the most part works.  I might tweak the background a little, but I don’t expect a lot of changes.

Next week, we have scheduled William “BJ” Lawson from North Carolina’s 4th district scheduled.  I think it will turn out to be a very interesting interview.

This website, http://www.ldnetwork.tv, is still a major work in progress.  The second podcast we launched, “The Hellfood Hellcast“, is still on temporary hiatus.  The reason is that we are working on a lot of new ideas, and these will continue to trickle out this summer.  The listenership for our flagship podcast, “The Libertarian Dime“, is growing much faster than we expected, and we are very proud of that fact.

Last week, we interviewed the Outright Libertarians and set a record for length of interview and show.  It was a total blast.  We tried to scale back this past week, but Jonathan and I went off on some great riffs about libertarianism.

We are beginning a full court press to get Libertarian candidates on the show, so expect some cool guests in the next couple months!  We will always remain true to our roots and values, so expect the occasional fireworks.

Well, looks like Jonathan and I have lined up an interview with execs from the Outright Libertarians for this Wednesday’s show.  Listeners of our podcast know that we’ve been strongly supportive of gay rights on many issues, and we look forward to talking to Outright to learn more about the group and how libertarinism applies to the GLBTQ community.
