Episode 64 – Meet Thomas Armour
July 6th, 2009 by ShaneThis week, The Dime took a break from politics to offer something up to our listeners that might help those looking for work, wanting to make a career change, or simply want to advance at a current job. Thomas Armour was our guest and we had a fun time exploring the somewhat simple, yet important concept of listening.
“Thomas Armour estimates that over 15 million Americans are out of work. In this severe economic downtown, jobs are hard to hold onto, and even harder to find when you find yourself in the unemployment line.
Employment and sales training expert Tom Armour says the #1 skill you need to develop in order to navigate this tougher than ever job market is…LISTENING. Being a good listener, and then responding to what you learn when listening, is crucial in so many ways, especially now. And unfortunately, most Americans are much better at talking than listening, which has become something of a lost art.”
Also, in the first part of the show, Shane explained more about Intelligent Design and it’s direct lineage to Creationism.
