Nearly 10,000 per taxpayer would do more to help the economy than any plan I've seen so far. Who cares if they save the money. That would only means it would be in banks, shoring up the asset sheet and making banks more likely to lend out. For others it would pay off debt. Some would spend it. Sounds like a win-win to me.
