Recorded on the same evening as Steve Jobs passing, the first part of the show was dedicated to talking about Steve Jobs and his influence on everyone and contrast with Bill Gates. The show then moved on to talk about Solyndra, Occupy Wall Street, and other topics in the news.

This week Shane & Jonathan talked about the current US policy of drug prohibition. Looking at the cost in terms of time, money, and life, Shane & Jonathan emphatically made the case that the current situation makes no sense. While at time calling upon youthful escapades with alcohol, the goal was to show how a worse drug, alcohol, is used by even those who hardly partake. There is just no justification for the War on Drugs anymore, and everyone should listen to this show for that reason.

The libertarian Dime – Episode 70 – On Healthcare/insurance

This week Shane and Jonathan were joined by Josh Brady, a small business owner in Nashville, TN. With three people all having different health insurance situations, they were able to cover a lot of ground. Topics ranged from the effects of mandates on insurance rates, state to state comparisons, the great advantage of HSA’s for younger people, the real factors that cause health insurance rates to rise, and many other topics. They didn’t get to cover everything they wanted, but it was about as information packed an hour as they could do!
